If you have attach it to the wood bed, I recommend adding a steel backing plate on the underside of the wood for support.

The best option I have to secure a Harley Davidson Dyna is the B&W Biker Bar Motorcycle Tie-Down System part # BWMC2302 which bolts to the floor of the trailer and then provides a very quick and secure attachment point.
